Habit tracker apps, side by side.

The right habit tracker app is the one you will still open a month from now, and that depends on you: some people want plain charts, others a cute look, a game or a pet.

These comparisons line well-known apps up by who each one suits, with a quick-pick table and their features side by side, so you can choose in a few minutes.

How to choose a habit tracker

Seven things to check before you download one.

  1. Your phone

Check it is on iPhone, Android or both. If you might switch phones, pick one on both stores.

  2. A look you enjoy

Plain, cute, a game or a pet: you will open it every day, so pick the one that makes you smile.

  3. How you track

A simple tick, a count a few times a day (glasses of water), or an amount (pages read, minutes walked).

  4. Missed days

See whether you can skip a busy day or pause a habit. Our post on what to do when you miss a day says why it matters.

  5. Reminders

A nudge at a time you pick, on the days the habit is planned.

  6. Your data

Does it need an account, work offline, and sync between phones?

  7. Start small

Add one or two habits first. Not sure which? Try the which habit should I start quiz or browse habit ideas.

How we compared

  • We read each app's own App Store and Google Play listings and its own website in November 2026, and wrote down only what they say, in our own words. Nothing here comes from reviews or other comparison sites.
  • In the feature table, Yes means the app's own listing or site says so. No is used only for phones, where an app's own site names the others. Not listed means we did not find it there: the app may still have it.
  • We left out prices, ratings and download counts. They change often and differ by country, so check each app's store listing for what it costs today.
  • Cozy is made by us, Pixelbrew Studio. We placed it by who it suits, like every other app, and listed its limits too. If something here is out of date, tell us through Support at the foot of the page.
